A southern Minnesota woman is accused of fatally striking a pedestrian with her car in Gaylord and fleeing the scene.

The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Alicia Streich hit 85-year-old John Siewert Wednesday night on Main Street and did not stop. First responders performed C-P-R on Siewert but he died of his injuries.

Streich returned an hour later after her mother called 9-1-1 to identify her as the driver. She’s charged with criminal vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident.
