Five area teens were injured when their vehicle went off a road in Renville County Friday evening.

On June 2, at about 9:19 p.m., the Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a one vehicle crash on County Road 15 near the intersection of 220th Street, 10 miles south of Renville. The  caller reported the crash involved one vehicle, with a total five occupants, one of whom was unresponsive. 

First responders discovered the vehicle had been occupied by 18-year-old Dawson Jenniges of Tracy, Callie  Burns of Wabasso, Anton Schueler of Renville, and two male juvenile  passengers. 

Preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle was traveling  westbound on County Road 15 when the vehicle lost control in the curve,  causing the vehicle to enter the south ditch where it struck a tree. 

Anton Schueler was transported via Mayo Air Care with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Callie Burns was transported via ground EMS with injuries,  but non-life-threatening. The driver, Dawson Jenniges and the two male  juveniles were treated at the scene and cleared with no transport. 

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Minnesota  State Patrol, Renville Police Department, CentraCare Ambulance Service,  Renville Fire Department, Renville MRU, and Mayo Air Care. 

The crash remains under investigation.
