Five residents of Fairfax and Redwood Falls were injured in a car / minivan collision near Morton Sunday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on March 31, Robert Eugene Hodge, age 51, of Redwood Falls, was driving a 1997 GMC Sierra pickup southbound on Highway 71. David Michael Degre, age 40, of Fairfax, was driving a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country minivan northbound. At about 7:27 p.m., at the intersection of Highways 71 and 19, the vehicles collided.

Hodge received non-life threatening injuries but was not transported to a medical facility. Degre was transported to CentraCare – Redwood with non-life threatening injuries, as were two minor passengers, ages 11 and 13. Timothy Shawn Roth, age 31, of Redwood Falls, received minor injuries and was not transported for medical attention.

Assisting at the scene were the Morton Fire Department, Redwood Falls and Lower Sioux Police Departments, Redwood and Renville County Sheriff’s Offices, and CentraCare Ambulance.
