Fifteen-year old driver injured when vehicle goes into ditch near Morgan

A 15 year old driver was injured when the vehicle she was driving went into a ditch near Morgan Thursday afternoon.

At about 1:16 p.m. on April 1, the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office got a call about a single vehicle accident on County Road 1 near Morgan. Deputies found a 2016 Dodge Caravan that had been driven by Abigail Riley, age 15, of Graham, Washington, in a ditch next to 25748 County Road 1. Also in the vehicle were Adonis Schmidt, age 3, and 37 year old Julie Neis.

Deputies were informed that Abigail Riley was attempting to turn into their driveway when she went into the ditch. Riley was transported to Carris Health – Redwood, with non-life threatening injuries.

The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by TNT Roadside and Towing, Morgan Ambulance, and Carris Health – Redwood.
