Federal Funding Announced for Veterans Homes in Bemidji, Montevideo

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has announced that two proposed veterans homes in Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District will receive federal funding under the department’s VA State Home Construction Grant Program.

The State of Minnesota will receive an estimated $26.9 million for a 72-bed facility in Bemidji, and $31.2 million for a 72-bed facility in Montevideo. The State of Minnesota must accept the funds and complete additional application requirements before the grants are fully awarded.
