A Fairfax woman was injured when her vehicle lost control in Morton Wednesday morning.

On October 13, at about 8:30 a.m., the Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a one-vehicle accident near the intersection of Highway 19 and 2nd St in Morton.

According to investigators, 70-year-old Joyce Crooks of Fairfax, was driving a 2006 Hyundai Sonata when she was entering the Morton, and took the curve too fast.  Crooks lost control of the vehicle as it exited the roadway and collided with a power pole.  CentraCare Ambulance Service treated Joyce on the scene for minor injuries.  Joyce was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Morton Medical Response Unit, Morton Fire Department, and CentraCare Ambulance Service assisted.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
