Fairfax woman injured in collision with Renville man Thursday evening

A Fairfax woman was injured in a Renville County collision Thursday evening.

At about 9:13 p.m. on April 30, a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Maria Antonia Avalos, age 47, of Fairfax, collided with a 2008 Pontiac G6 driven by John James Ulrich, age 42, of Renville. Both vehicles were westbound on Highway 212 in Renville County, near mile marker 68, when they collided.

Avalos was transported to a Renville County hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Three passengers in her vehicle were not injured. Nor were Ulrich and his passenger.

Assisting at the scene were the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Renville Police Department, and Renville ambulance.
