A teenager from Edina was injured in Renville County when the vehicle she was riding in collided with a semi-truck.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 8:19 p.m. on Wednesday, a 2015 Honda Civic was being driven by a 17 year old male was southbound on Highway 4. At the intersection with Highway 212, the Civic collided with an eastbound 2019 Peterbilt semi-truck being driven by Joshua Eric Anderson, age 29, of Waconia.

Treisy Sucily McGowan, age 17, of Edina, a passenger in the Civic, received non-life threatening injuries, and was treated at the hospital in Olivia.

The Hector Police Department, Renville County Sheriff’s Office, and Hector Ambulance assisted at the scene.
