According to at least one new study, Redwood County residents have the seventh highest purchasing power in Minnesota.

As part of an economic overview of Minnesota, SmartAsset, a New York-based financial advising firm, compared various communities’ income levels with the cost of living in each county. Their final result suggests Redwood County is number seven in Minnesota, with an average annual cost of living of $39,047 and a per capita income level of $61,772.

According to the study, Traverse residents have the highest purchasing power in Minnesota, while Marshall comes in fifth.
