Around 7,700 Minnesotans who mailed in their auto registration renewals have not received their tabs due to processing delays.

Emma Corrie with the Department of Vehicle Services (DVS) says it’s a result of staff being unable to process mailed-in renewals with errors or missing info due to recent stay-at-home orders amid COVID-19.

Law enforcement has also been notified that some Minnesotans will not receive their registration stickers before they are required to display the tabs on their license plates.

In the meantime, DVS is emailing a verification letter to impacted customers to use as proof of registration renewal until their tabs arrive. Anyone who mailed in their registration renewal more than two weeks ago and has not received their tabs is encouraged to contact DVS.
