Last week, two Twin Cities news sources erroniously included Parkview Home and Parkwood Apartments, in Belview, in articles about long-term care facilities that had reported positive cases of COVID-19, and multiple deaths.

As a result of those news articles, and the inevitable rumors resulting, the leadership team at Parkview Home and Parkwood Apartments has released a statement, saying Parkview has not had any cases of COVID-19.

The statement continued, “The reason Parkview was included in the report was related to our infection control survey completed by the MN Department of Health on April 6 and 7. The survey initially triggered a serious deficiency (IJ) which resulted in immediate changes being made to insure we were meeting the current regulations to keep our residents safe.

“The survey was completed, and the plan of correction submitted. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, those surveys are still in a pending mode. However, we have been notified that the IJ status has been removed, and we are meeting the required standards.

“Due to the pending status, this survey information has not been posted on the Minnesota Department of Public Health site at this time…. (W)e want to assure you that we are following all the state, federal, and CDC guidelines.”
