COVID-19 News: Dog licensing temporarily suspended because veterinarians closed

In Redwood Falls, dog owners are required to keep their pet’s vaccinations current and provide proof of vaccination to the City in order to keep their Conditional Lifetime License valid.

However, as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, veterinarian services in Minnesota are suspended.

The Redwood Falls Police Department will continue to notify dog owners via correspondence that their pet’s vaccinations are due. However, citations will not be issued and Conditional Lifetime Licenses will not be suspended because dog owners cannot obtain the required vaccination and thus cannot provide the required proof of vaccination to the City at no fault of the dog owner. Enforcement of Ordinance §10.46 will be suspended until further notice.
