Several million Minnesotans are champing at the bit to be released from Governor Walz’s stay-at-home and business closure orders, two separate items impacting everyone’s lives.

Governor Walz announced last week that both executive orders would be relaxed a bit starting this week. Minnesota Senator Gary Dahms of Redwood Falls believes one reason may be that several states surrounding Minnesota have already relaxed or rescinded their lockdown orders:

Dahms also said that with the business closures, the governor may be responding to accusations he’s picking and choosing winners and losers. Under the current lockdown orders, some businesses may be forced to stay closed while their competitors are still allowed to open:

Dahms said the governor and many state legislators have gotten thousands of calls and emails from the public about the issue, and are paying attention to the public’s concerns.
