Senator Gary Dahms of Redwood Falls said Friday he was disappointed in Governor Tim Walz’s executive order mandating business closures and stay-at-home being extended until Monday, March 18.

Dahms told KLGR:

Although the governor claims his policies are being guided by science, Dahms is one of many who question how accurate the computer modeling being used to determine coronavirus policies are for Minnesota:

Dahms said he has faith that Minnesotans would find a compromise between protecting health while still being able to reopen the economy:

Dahms added that with the current political makeup of the state legislature, any chances of overruling the governor’s orders aren’t likely.
