COVID-19 cases are over in Kandiyohi County Jail

Kandiyohi County Sheriff Eric Holien says it appears the COVID-19 outbreak at the Kandiyohi County Jail is finished. Earlier this week Holien said there were zero positive tests for inmates and zero positive tests fo`nur staff. Holien first announced the COVID outbreak at the jail in early December.

Holien says they continue to send female prisoners to the Meeker County Jail because they do not have the facilities to quarantine them in the Kandiyohi County Jail. The sheriff says they have now acquired a COVID testing machine.
