State health officials in Minnesota are monitoring the coronavirus situation closely after Wisconsin confirmed its first case Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health’s Kris Ehresmann says they’re working hard to “make sure that we’re as prepared as possible for responding to a case in Minnesota and minimizing the risk of spread.”

Tests on two suspected coronavirus cases in Minnesota came back negative. As a precaution, Ehresmann is encouraging Minnesotans to wash their hands and cover their coughs.
