Comfrey man injured in single-vehicle crash Saturday evening

A Comfrey man was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday evening.

On Sept. 12, at about 10:19 p.m., the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single motor vehicle crash at the intersection of County Road 15 and Jade Avenue. 

A 1996 Chevrolet club cab pickup driven by Cody Matthew Bedner, age 23, of Comfrey, was traveling east bound on County Road 15 when it left the road and entered the south side ditch. The pickup hit the embankment of Jade Avenue and became airborne over the road, landing in the west ditch. The pickup came to a stop about 200 feet west of the intersection. Bedner was transported to Carris Health Redwood Falls for minor injuries, while vehicle received extensive damage. 

The crash is currently under investigation.  Assisting the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office were Lamberton Ambulance, Lamberton Fire Department and The Lamberton Police Department.
