A Clements man, Darin James Sell, age 41, has been sentenced in Redwood County Court for selling meth in Redwood Falls.

According to court records, on Nov. 18, 2021, the Brown Lyon redwood Renville Drug Task Force was contacted by an informant claiming he would be able to purchase methamphetamine from Sell later that day. The informant was outfitted with electronic recording equipment before meeting Sell.

When the individual arrived at Sell’s residence in Clements, Sell got into the car, and conversed about the weight of the meth, as recorded by nearby drug task force agents. After paying $200 for a bit over 5 grams of meth, the informant left  and turned over the meth to agents at the law enforcement center.

At the time of Sell’s arrest, there was already an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failing to appear at a probation violation hearing.

On Sept. 25, Sell was sentenced for felony third degree drug sales to 45 months in the correctional facility in St. Cloud.
