Clara City man injured in collision with Granite Falls woman Wednesday afternoon

A Clara City man was injured in a Chippewa County collision with a Granite Falls woman Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Aug. 2, Dustin David Hissam, age 29, of Clara City, was driving a Ford Explorer southbound on Highway 29. At about 1:43 p.m., the vehicle collided with another Ford Explorer, identified in the state report as “the Montevideo squad car”, that was eastbound on Highway 7 and driven by Danielle Catherine Bailey, age 28, of Granite Falls.

Hissam was sent to the health care facility in Montevideo, while Bailey reported no injuries.

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Montevideo Police Department, and CCM Health Ambulance assisted at the scene.
