City of Redwood Falls awards bid for upcoming North Redwood water main project

After considering bids from eight area construction firms, the City of Redwood Falls has named Schmidt Construction Inc., of Redwood Falls as the general contractor on the upcoming project to redo North Redwood’s water main.

Schmidt Construction’s bid came in at slightly over $830,000, or $200,000 less than the engineer’s estimate of slightly over $1 million to do the project. Schmidt Construction Inc. has  listed the following subcontractors for the project:  Northland Erosion Control-Walnut Grove, M.R. Paving-New Ulm, All State Traffic Control- Cold Spring, and MinnComm Under Ground- Mora.
