A Canby man was killed in a Yellow Medicine County construction area crash.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 6:36 p.m., Robert William Larsen, age 57, of Canby, was westbound on Highway 68. Near the intersection with 240th Street, Canby’s Jeep Grand Cherokee entered a construction area where Larsen struck a sign, left the road, and rolled.

Larsen was transported to the hospital in Canby, where he died of his injuries.

The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office, Canby Police Department, and Porter Fire Department assisted at the scene.
