Armed robbery suspect arrested by drug task force in Willmar Thursday

Acting on a tip from a citizen, a suspect for an armed robbery was arrested in Yellow Medicine County Thursday.

On July 29, a 25-year-old male was arrested on a felony arrest warrant out of Yellow Medicine County for First Degree Armed Robbery.

Acting on information from a concerned citizen, the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force used a search warrant in the 200 block of 23rd Street SE in Willmar. During the search, the suspect was taken into custody. While searching the room over 25 grams of methamphetamine was located along with US currency.

The suspect was transported to the Kandiyohi County Jail pending charges for 2nd Degree Possession of Controlled Substance. The CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force was assisted by Willmar Police SWAT Team, Willmar Police Department, Kandiyohi County STAT members, Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office, and CentraCare EMS.
