A man and a woman were arrested in Dassel by an area drug task force on Monday afternoon.

According to the Kandiyohi and Meeker County Sheriff’s Offices, on June 7, at about 2:26 p.m., the Kandiyohi-Meeker SWAT Team and the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force assisted with an incident in Dassel. Earlier in the day, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of threats at a residence in the 500 block of Maple Street. Reportedly, a male pointed a firearm at the ground in front of a female and made threatening remarks.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office performed a search warrant at the residence and recovered two pistols. The CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force recovered marijuana concentrates, psychedelic mushrooms, and synthetic LSD.
A 29 year old male was arrested for reckless handling of a dangerous weapon, and controlled substance violations. A 22 year old female was arrested for controlled substance violation. Both are being held at the Meeker County Jail pending formal charges.
