2 Vehicle Crash Sunday Afternoon Injures One Driver

A 2 vehicle crash occurred Sunday afternoon resulting in injuries for one of the drivers.

At 1:48 pm, a 2011 Ford Escape, driven by Julie Klabunde of Comfrey, was traveling northbound on CSAH 13 near CSAH 16. A 2007 Chevy Silverado, driven by Lily Janell Steinhaus of Morgan, was traveling northbound on CSAH 13 near CSAH 16. The Silverado turned westbound onto CSAH 16, while Steinhaus was turning, the Ford Escape attempted to pass from the right side. Both vehicles collided, the Ford Escape ended up in the field with the Klabunde being injured and transported to the hospital. The Silverado had minor damage to the side of the vehicle with no injuries. The Ford Escape was towed by Nelson’s towing due to disabling damage.
