Minnesota corn production is forecast at 1.45 billion bushels according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service – Crop Production report. 

Based on conditions as of November 1, yields are expected to average 186.0 bushels per acre, up 8.0 bushels per acre from the October 1 forecast but down 5.0 bushels per acre from last year. 

Corn planted acreage is estimated at 8.30 million acres with an estimated 7.80 million acres to be harvested for grain. 

Soybean production is forecast at 374  million bushels. 

The yield is forecast at 49.0 bushels per acre, unchanged from the October forecast but down 1.0 bushel per acre from 2020. 

Soybean planted acreage is estimated at 7.70 million acres with 7.63 million acres to be harvested. 

Sugarbeet production is estimated at 13.0 million tons, up 17 percent from last year. 

Yield is forecast at 30.5 tons per acre, up 2.4 tons from the October 1 forecast and up 4.4 tons from 2020. 

Acres expected to be harvested have decreased 1,000 acres from last year to 426,000 acres. 

Potato production in Minnesota is forecast at 17.6 million cwt, down 2 percent from 2020. 

Yield is forecast at 420 cwt per acre, with an expected 41,900 acres to be harvested.
