Dry conditions allowed for harvest progress during the week ending November 7, 2021 according to the USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service. 

There were 5.8 days suitable for fieldwork. 

Field activities for the week included harvesting crops, tilling and manure application. 

Topsoil moisture supplies were rated 3 percent very short, 14 percent short, 75 percent adequate and 8 percent surplus. 

Subsoil moisture were rated 6 percent very short, 24 percent short, 64 percent adequate and 6 percent surplus. 

Corn harvested for grain reached 92 percent, 12 days ahead of the 5-year average. 

Average corn moisture content of grain at harvest was 17 percent. 

Sunflower harvest was almost finished at 96 percent complete. 

Sugarbeets advanced to 100 percent harvested.
