Ap Prices Mixed in October Report

The average price received by farmers for corn during September 2021 in Minnesota was $5.58 per bushel according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service – Agricultural Prices report. 

This was 55 cents below the August price but $2.63 above September 2020. 

The September 2021 average price received by farmers for soybeans, at $12.10 per bushel, was $1.30 below the August price but $3.08 above the September 2020 price. 

The September average spring wheat price per bushel, at $8.24, was 27 cents above August and $3.67 above September 2020. 

All hay prices in Minnesota averaged $158.00 per ton in September. 

This was $10.00 below the August price but $44.00 above the September 2020 price. 

The September 2021 alfalfa hay price, at $185.00, was $14.00 below the previous month but $61.00 above September 2020. 

The average price received for other hay during September was $117.00 per ton. 

This was $19.00 below the August price but $31.00 above September last year. 

The average price for milk was $18.40 per cwt, 80 cents above the August price but $1.10 below September 2020. 

Prices received for milk cows for dairy herd replacement averaged $1,260 per head as of October 1, 2021.
