Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom and the MAITC Foundation have announced the recipients of the 2019 Agricultural Literacy Grants to support educational efforts from kindergarten to high school across the state.

A total of 14 projects received grants of up to $1,000 each to help support agricultural literacy efforts that involve hands-on activities with bees, lettuce, strawberries, and more.

Area teachers Anne Goche of Redwood Valley Schools and Beth Wolf of St. Paul’s Lutheran School in New Ulm both were awarded grants for a field trip to Gilfillan Historic Farm Site and Farm to Grocery to Table project respectivly.

MAITC’s mission is to increase agricultural literacy through K-12 education. For more information about Ag Literacy Grants, visit the MAITC website.
