Ag Prices Rise in Latest Report
The average price received by farmers for corn during April 2022 in Minnesota was $6.81 per bushel according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service – Agricultural Prices report. This was 48 cents above the March price and $1.91 above April 2021.
The April 2022 average price received by farmers for soybeans, at $15.70 per bushel, was 10 cents above the March price and $1.70 above the April 2021 price.
The April average spring wheat price per bushel, at $10.20, was 37 cents above March and $4.47 above April 2021.
All hay prices in Minnesota averaged $181.00 per ton in April. This was $7.00 above the March price and $44.00 above the April 2021 price.
The April 2022 alfalfa hay price, at $191.00, was $11.00 above the previous month and $39.00 above April 2021.
The average price received for other hay during April was $160.00 per ton. This was $6.00 above the March price and $73.00 above April last year.
The average price for milk was $27.40 per cwt, $1.20 above the March price and $7.90 above April 2021.
