The December 2019 average price received by farmers for corn in Minnesota was $3.51 per bushel according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service – Agricultural Prices report.
This was 3 cents above the November price and 12 cents above the December 2018 price.
The December 2019 average price received by farmers for soybeans, at $8.45 per bushel, was down 4 cents from the November price and down 9 cents from the December 2018 price.
The December 2019 price for spring wheat was $4.62 per bushel, up 21 cents from November but down 99 cents from December 2018.
All hay prices in Minnesota averaged $152.00 per ton in December, down $2.00 from the November price but $8.00 per ton more than December 2018.
The alfalfa hay price was $170.00 per ton, down $8.00 from November but $15.00 above a year ago.
The other hay price was $119.00, down $11.00 from November but $7.00 above a year ago.
The December average price for milk was $22.00 per cwt, down $1.20 from November but up $5.80 from one year ago. Prices received for milk cows for dairy herd replacement averaged $1,140 per head as of January 1, 2020.
