August 31: -An Animal Confinement Feedlot Conditional Use Permit Application has been filed by Andrew Van Nurden, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 116 and Redwood County Code of Ordinances, Title XV, Sections 153.290 and 153.142, for the expansion of an existing swine feedlot to include goats in total confinement with deep bedded manure pack and temporary on-site manure stockpile. After expansion the feedlot will house 1000 finishing swine in total confinement with under-floor manure storage, 145 sows and 450 piglets (under 55 pounds) in total confinement with under-floor scraper pit, and 140 goats, for a total of 404.5 animal units, on the following described real property, situated in the County of Redwood, State of Minnesota, to wit:
A 600’ x 726’ tract in the East Half (E1/2) of the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) of Section 32,
Township 112 North, Range 34 West, Sherman Township.
A public hearing thereon will be held before the Redwood County Planning Commission at the Planning Commission meeting starting at 1:00 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 31st day of August, 2021, at the Board Room in the Redwood County Government Center located at 403 South Mill Street, Redwood Falls, MN 56283.
