Farmers Invited to Free Workshop on Carbon Intensity and Soil Health. This workshop aims to equip farmers with a thorough understanding of what a carbon intensity score is and how the principles of soil health can reduce this score. Attendees will have the opportunity to get their farm’s baseline carbon intensity score for free. The event includes a complimentary lunch, offering attendees a chance to network with peers and experts in the field.

A highlight of the event will be the keynote address by Mitchell Hora, an expert from Continuum Ag. Hora will share insights on innovative agricultural practices that enhance soil health and decrease carbon emissions, contributing to a more sustainable farming future. Additionally, the Redwood Soil and Water Conservation District will present on an ongoing 3-year soil health study being conducted in partnership with the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources and the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund.
