September 15: An Application for Variance has been filed by Joshua Leach requesting a variance, pursuant to Redwood County Code of Ordinances, Title XV, Section 153.026, to the required setback between a feedlot and a residence set forth in Redwood County Code of Ordinances, Title XV, Section 153.290(H)(2)(a). The variance request is for the construction and operation of a confinement livestock barn with capacity for 105 head of cattle (105 animal units), which will not meet the required ¼ of a mile setback from the nearest third party dwelling, on property situated in the County of Redwood, State of Minnesota, to wit:
All that part of the South 20 Acres of the North Half of the Northwest Quarter (also referred to as Government Lots 3 and 4) and that part of the South Half of the Northwest Quarter, all in Section 4, Township 111 North, Range 39 West, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner of the South 20 Acres of the North Half of the Northwest Quarter; thence South 01 degrees 49 minutes 48 seconds East, along the west line of said Northwest Quarter, a distance of 329.25 feet; thence South 89 degrees 44 minutes 55 seconds East a distance of 218.00 feet; thence South 01 degrees 49 minutes 48 seconds East a distance of 225.00 feet; thence South 89 degrees 44 minutes 55 seconds East a distance of 265.80 feet; thence North 01 degrees 49 minutes 48 seconds West a distance of 549.45 feet, to a point on the north line of the South 20 acres of the North Half of the Northwest Quarter; thence North 89 degrees 10 minutes 51 seconds West, along said north line, a distance of 484.00 feet, to the point of beginning.
It is hereby ordered that a Public Hearing thereon will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. before the Redwood County Board of Adjustment at the proposed building location, located at 11085, State Hwy 68, Milroy, Minnesota.
