Deaths attributed to COVID-19 reported in Redwood, Kandiyohi, Yellow Medicine, Blue Earth counties (updated)

Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Kandiyohi, Yellow Medicine, and Blue Earth Counties were among 23 in Minnesota Tuesday, according to the latest data from the Minnesota Department of Health.

The ‘Covid 19’ report for Wed. from the MN Dept. of Health says that Redwood County has had another death attributed to the virus, placing the total atins 13. Renville County remains at 14.

Kandiyohi County reported another COVID-19-related death on Tuesday. The Minnesota Department of Health says the victim, a person in his or early 70s, was the county’s 7th since the start of the pandemic. Yellow Medicine County also reported a death, a person in their late 80s, and was Yellow Medicine’s 8th.

The latest deaths bring Minnesota’s total attributed to the pandemic to 2,698. Nine of Tuesday’s deaths involved long-term care residents, while 14 were from private residences.

MDH is also reporting another 4,906 new COVID-19 infections. Redwood and Renville Counties each report eight new cases.
