Summary of the Redwood County Board meeting of Nov. 2
The following is a summary of the County Board meeting held November 2, 2021:
- Approved the agenda; October 19th minutes; bills.
- Approved Road and Bridge bills.
- Awarded Equipment rental with operator in the Belview/Delhi area to Zimmermann Maintenance.
- Adopted resolution requesting a variance from Standard for state aid operation for the County State aid Highway CSAH 1 Project.
- Approved the Noxious Weed Grant application in the amount of $5,000.00.
- Approved the Grant Agreement between the State of Minnesota, acting through its Board of Water and Soil Resources Board in the amount of $134,445.00.
- Approved the Retainer Agreement with Tim Vergin for the appraisal of the Runnings property.
- Approved the MNIT Agreement for Application Security Assessment.
- Adopted resolution for the appointment of Mike Carlson and Jay Mickelson to the Red Rock Rural Water System Board of Commissioners.
- Awarded the annual copier paper order to Staples at $29.99/case.
- Approved the Medical Examiner Contract Agreement with River Valley Forensic Services.
- Approved to hire Angela Hanneman for PT Dispatcher on the 2021 Dispatcher LELS non-licensed Officer Salary Schedule at Step 1 at $18.91 per hour effective November 3, 2021.
- Acknowledged the resignation of Kelsie Kingstrom, FT Assistant County Attorney effective 10-22-21.
- The commissioners reported on meetings they attended.
- The Board recessed and entered into Joint Ditch Authority with Yellow Medicine County at 10:30 a.m.
- The Board reconvened into Regular Session at 10:32 a.m.
- The Board entered into Redwood County Ditch Authority at 11:00 a.m. for a Public Hearing to petition for the partial abandonment of County Ditch #22A filed by the City of Redwood Falls.
- The Petition was withdrawn and the Public Hearing was closed at 11:01 a.m.
