Summary of the Jan. 5 Redwood County Board meeting
The following is a summary of the County Board meeting held January 5th:
- Judge Rohland administered the Oath of Office to Commissioner-Elect Rick Wakefield and Commissioners Forkrud and Van Hee.
- Salfer was elected as Chairman for 2021.
- Groebner was elected as Vice-Chair for 2021.
- Approved the agenda; December 15th minutes; bills.
- Authorized the Board Chair to act on behalf of Redwood County in case of emergencies.
- Adopted Roberts Rules of Order as the County Board meeting procedural guide.
- R & B Bills.
- Authorize Engineer to sign and pay permit fees as they apply to Redwood County Projects.
- Approved the Professional Services Agreement with Widseth, Smith and Nolting for Granite Rock Township Bridge L8769.
- Approved the Professional Services Agreement with American Engineering Testing for Pavement Rehab pending County Attorney approval.
- Declared two International Snowplow trucks excess property and authorized the sale of two trucks on MnBID.
- Adopted Resolution for Redwood County to act as the sponsoring agency for a Local Road Improvement Program Project for the City of Morgan.
- Approved the Cooperative Agreement with the City of Morgan for the Local Road Improvement Program Project.
- Approved CUP #10-20 filed by Novel Energy Solutions for a Solar Garden.
- Approved Morris Electronics Contract Renewal.
- Approved the Drone Policy.
- Mumme presented information on the Pandemic Business Loss Grant Program. A Committee was appointed and guidelines for the grant program will be presented at the 1-19-21 board meeting.
- Appointed Wakefield Ditch Authority Chair and Groebner as Vice-Chair.
- Approved the Rinke Noonan Retainer Agreement at $200.00/month.
- Approved the Schneider Corporation Professional Services Agreement for three years at $13,548.00/year.
- Approved $100.00 payment to the MN County Attorney’s Education Fund.
- Adopted Resolution of Designation of Depositories for 2021.
- Approved the 2021 Redwood County Reimbursement Policy.
- Adopted Resolution to use website advertisement for Transportation Project Bids.
- Adopted Resolution to designate the Redwood Gazette as the Official Newspaper for Redwood County in 2021.
- Acknowledged Change Order #4 for the Government Services Building Renovation Project.
- Acknowledged the retirement of Jean Brezina from FT Assessment Technician effective 1-29-21.
- Acknowledged the resignation of Brody Farmer from PT Custody Officer effective 12-28-20.
- Approved the transfer of Lisa Guggisberg from FT License Center Supervisor to FT Financial Accountant at Grade 11, Step 9 of the AFSCME Scale at $26.57/hour effective 1-11-21.
- Reviewed and made necessary changes to the Committee Appointments for 2021.
- The Commissioners reported on their meeting attendance.
