Summary of the Jan. 22 Redwood County Board meeting

The following is a summary of the County Board meeting held January 22, 2019:

Approved the revised agenda; January 8th minutes; bills.
Recognized Heidi Wersal, Administration Office and Eric Johnson, Restorative Justice, for 5 years of Service to Redwood County.
Approved the Amendment to the Redwood County Soil and Water Conservation District and Redwood County Cooperative Agreement.
Approved the Hemish Farm Lease Agreement.
Camper Cabin quotes was removed from the agenda as quotes were not available.
Reviewed the December 2018 Jail population.
Approved the 2018 Emergency Management Performance Grant in the amount of $21,503.00.
Approved the purchase for the Sheriff’s Department of a 2019 Chevy Tahoe from Marthaler Chevrolet in the amount of $36,931.40 plus taxes and license fees.
The copier lease agreement was removed from the agenda pending review by the County Attorney.
Approved the Auditor-Treasurer consent agenda items: Cash Balance Report; Investment Summary; Budget Reports; and December Disbursements.
The Board acknowledged the Confession of Judgment for Jean and Bryant Moravec, parcel #90-923-0100.
Approved the Contract for Prosecution Services between the City of Vesta and Redwood County.
Approved the Contract for Prosecution Services between the City of Clements and Redwood County.
Adopted resolution of sponsorship for sponsoring agency for Front Street project in Wabasso, MN.
Adopted resolution of sponsorship for sponsoring agency for Cedar Street project in Wabasso, MN.
Approved contract with Widseth, Smith, Nolting to design the replacement culvert on CSAH 4.
Approved a letter of support of Area II Minnesota River Basin Projects Funding.
Approved the submission of the Pay Equity Compliance Report.
Approved to transfer Jessica Tressler from PT Custody Officer to FT Dispatcher at Step 1 of the Dispatcher Wage Scale at $17.91/hr. effective January 28, 2019.
Approved to hire Shannon Ness as FT Assistant County Attorney on the non-union scale at Grade 16, Step 1 at $29.64/hour effective February 4, 2019.
Approved the Health Care Savings Plan LELS Union #404 MOU.
Approved the Health Care Savings Plan LELS Union #114 MOU.
Approved a lump sum uniform allowance each year for non-union employees. (Sheriff, Chief Deputy Sheriff and Jail Administrator)
Entered into closed session for real estate consideration.  No action taken.
Johnson discussed the Restorative Justice Program with Commissioners.
The commissioners reported on meetings they attended.
The Board adjourned at 11:18 a.m.
