Arrest made in Blue Earth home invasion

An arrest has been made in a home invasion and homicide that has the Blue Earth community in shock. The suspect is in jail and formal charges are pending.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension(BCA) says investigators are not seeking additional suspects at this time, after making the arrest on Monday night.

Police were called to a disturbance at a home in the 400 block of 4th Street East in Blue Earth around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

When officers entered the residence they found a 38-year-old man dead and several people who had been assaulted.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy on the male victim. His identity is expected to be released Tuesday.

Candace Marie Freeman, 38 from Ceylon, her 19-year-old daughter Brittany Kay Devary and 15-year-old daughter suffered seriously injures. They were taken to United Hospital District in Blue Earth and then were airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.

Freeman's six-year-old daughter was found in the residence uninjured.

Investigators think the suspect entered the home wearing a mask and bludgeoned the victims with a blunt object.
