The Redwood County Relay for Life "Dancing with the Stars" fundraiser was held this weekend at the Redwood Valley School.
$8,200 was raised from the event before expenses.
Voting was based on monetary donations left in jars for each couple dancing.
1st place went to Trevor Wittwer & Patrice Arfsten with an athletic salsa.
2nd place went to Ruth Goodthunder & Benton Kodet
3rd place went to Jim & Karen Boots
The winning team gets the "opportunity" to dance in an upcoming Redwood Dance Center recital.
The Bobbers Relay team organized the event and paid a special tribute to a team member that was recently diagnosed with cancer-Darcee Pederson. Other featured dancers included Joel Balko and Alexis Nelson, Joshua and Rachel Friese, Alan Olson and Sara Olson, Patrick and Cathleen Rohland, the Cedar Mountain kick line and Redwood Dance Studio dancers.
Funds raised are used for cancer research.
