Charges have now been filed against 24 year old John Renville of Morton for his involvement in a stabbing incident at the Lower Sioux Community.
Renville is being charged with Assault with a dangerous weapon in the 2nd degree and terroristic threats.
February 2nd the Lower Sioux Police department responded to 33009 Jackpot Avenue of a reported stabbing. Upon arrival law enforcement found 3 individuals that were bleeding from wounds.
Renville had been stabbed in the neck and ribs. Samantha Hein was cut on the right arm and Sheena Crow had a laceration above her eye to her chin and forearm. All the injuries required stitches and medical treatment. Renville was flown to North Memorial Hospital with a serious cut to his neck that required surgery.
It was reported that 2 more victims from the incident ran into Jackpot Junction Casino-leaving a trail of blood. Jennifer Blue had a cut that required stitches and Jim Toth had a cut to his hand and a broken nose.
The criminal complaint in the case gives multiple versions of the story-including an assault in an attempt to buy methamphetamines.
Several knives were recovered during the investigation including a black folding knife, 2 knives on the floor of a vehicle and a T handled skinning knife with gut hook that was covered in blood.

James Earl Toth of Cottonwood was charged with one count of Assault in the 2nd Degree (Dangerous Weapon) (felony).
Jennifer Kaye Blue of Granite Falls was charged with two counts of Assault in the 2nd Degree (Dangerous Wearpon) (felony).
Sheena Agnes Renee Crow of Morton was charged with Simple Robbery (felony) and Assault in the 5th Degree (misdemeanor).
Samantha Rae Hein of Morton was charged with Aid and Abet of Simple Robbery (felony), Assault in the 5th Degree (Misdemeanor) and Criminal Damage to Property (Misdemeanor).
