Mary Jo Bratsch





Mary Jo Bratsch, age 73, of Olivia died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Olivia.  Funeral services are Monday 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church in Danube with Rev. Michael Kuschel officiating.  Burial is in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.  Visitation is Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Olivia with a prayer service at 5:45 p.m. and visitation continues on Monday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
 
Mary Jo Bratsch was born February 8, 1939 at Morton, MN to Peter and Vera (Dagen) Toussaint.  She attended and graduated from Morton High School.  Mary Jo married Wendell Bratsch on April 11, 1958 in Danube at St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church.  They made their home south of Danube in Henryville Township where they farmed.  Mary Jo enjoyed helping and working on the farm.  She had a passion for genealogy and finding her heritage.  Mary Jo truly loved her family and especially her grandchildren.
 
Mary Jo Bratsch is survived by her three children: Jeff (and Lynn) Bratsch of Danube, Mike (and Carol) Bratsch of Danube, and Lisa (and Pat) Romano of North Branch; her six grandchildren: Anna, Abby, Emily, Kaylee, Connor and Victoria Bratsch, daughter-in-law Jan Bratsch of Olivia and two sisters: Luann (and Gary) Wedl of Ramsey and Nancy (and Richard) Robbins of Robbinsdale.  Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wendell Bratsch and son Scott Bratsch.
