ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The Nashville Predators scored three

goals in the final four minutes to stun the Minnesota Wild 5-4 last

night. Mike Fisher had two goals for the Predators, who picked up

their fifth straight victory. Dany Heatley's first two-goal game

for the Wild was wasted when the team squandered a three-goal lead.

 

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Timberwolves look to reach .500

with a win over the Indiana Pacers tonight at the Target Center.

The 10-11 Wolves are coming off a 120-108 victory over the Houston

Rockets on Monday. Minnesota has failed in three attempts this

season to reach a .500 record.

 

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minnesota is looking to keep the momentum

going today against Iowa. The Gophers have overcome four straight

losses to open Big Ten play to win four of their last five. Coach

Tubby Smith was asked yesterday about his team's identity and he

says it boils down to poise.

 

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - Jordan Taylor scored 18 points last

night to lead No. 19 Wisconsin past Penn State 52-46. Taylor made

six free throws over the final minute to help the Badgers earn

their sixth straight victory. Tim Frazier had a game-high 21 points

for the Nittany Lions.
