Campus Master's Degree program



Southwest Minnesota State University will host a series of informational meetings about its on-campus master’s degree programs in the coming weeks.
SMSU offers three master’s degrees. They include Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science in Education and Master of Science in Special Education.
The meetings all begin at 4:30 p.m. and will be held Monday, Feb. 13 in SC 206; Wednesday, Feb. 22 in SC 249; and Tuesday, Feb. 28 in SC 249.
Classes will begin in the summer and fall, and will be delivered either on weekday evenings, online or selected Saturdays.
• MBA: The program is designed to provide tomorrow’s leaders with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in a global business economy. Along with the general MBA concentration, the program also offers concentrations in the fields of leadership and marketing.
• Master of Science in Education: Emphasis areas include teaching, learning & leadership, reading. English, English as a Second Language, math and sports leadership.
Master of Science in SpecialEducation: Licensures are available in developmental disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, early childhood education and learning disabilities.
There is also an autism certificate available in special education.
