Vernon Clyde Greenberg, the son of Ferdinand and Clarice (Gilbertson) Greenberg, was born January 4, 1935 at his parents’ home in Eden Township, Brown County, Minnesota. He grew up on the family farm. Vern received his formal education in District 35 Eden Township School and Franklin High School, where he graduated with the Class of 1953. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1959. Vern then returned home and spent the next 49 years farming the family farm.
He enjoyed collecting small scale models of the farm equipment that he used during his farming career. Vern loved living in the country and observing all that nature had to offer.
