Governor Mark Dayton will be making a visit to the St. Mary’s School in Bird Island next week.
On Friday mornings KLGR 1490 starts the morning show out with the National Anthem as a way to remember and say thank you to our military families that are serving or have served our country. One of recordings of the National Anthem is the voice of McKaia Ryberg.
McKaia also sang at Governor Mark Dayton’s inauguration and at that time she had invited him to come visit her school.
Dayton is keeping that promise with a visit to St. Mary’s next Friday. (January 27th)
The school has about 120 elementary students and they are preparing for the Governor and Senator Gary Kubly’s visit.
McKaia also sang the National Anthem when President Obama was in Minneapolis in 2010.
