Library recieves grant to support microfilm project

The Minnesota Historical Society recently awarded a Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grant in the amount of $6,960.00 to the Redwood Falls Public Library. The grant was approved by the Society’s awards committee on December 15th and will support the Library’s Microfilm Grant Phase 3 Project.  This will add 128 additional rolls of newspaper microfilm to the library’s collection from the Seaforth Item, The Vision (Vesta), the Wabasso Standard, the Walnut Grove Rural Center and the Walnut Grove Tribune. This project has been financed in part with funds provided by the State of Minnesota through the Minnesota Historical Society from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Grants are awarded to support projects of enduring value for the cause of history and historic preservation across the state.
