Todd Osman is President of RVI in Redwood Falls. The company just celebrated a 5th year anniversary in business. To help them celebrate this milestone-News Director Laura Olson visited with Todd Osman about the business.

Remind us about what RVI does and who your clients are?
RVI provides a full suite of services to electronic companies consisting of repair, test, and intelligent inventory management. We provide these services to world class clientele that consists of Cisco, HP, IBM, Abbott Labs, and Rockwell Automation just to name a few. Overall we have provided services to over 200 manufactures in 12 different industries.
How many employees did you start with and how many are there now?
In 2007, the company started out with approximately 35 employees. We currently employ 59 and have hired on 9 since November of this year. In order to keep up with what is being forecasted by client needs, we are planning to add an additional 4-6 employees by February of this year.
How has the business changed over the last 5 years?
We had started out in 2007 as a department within a large organization that was dealing specifically with accounts related to the manufacturer the department represented. Since then, we have been able to expand our service offerings into different commodities and build relationships with diversified list of accounts making it a stand-alone business.
What are some of the goals that you have for the next 5 years?
I have included some statistics that were presented in this event recognizing the value these jobs bring to a community. We have a lot of pride in what this business has been able to achieve over the past five years and strategies in place to double our growth as the clients are seeing the value in having these services provided in locally rather than sending them overseas.
RVI Staff, in the past five years
· Worked 325,000 direct labor hours
· Paid in $495,000 in property taxes for your homes

· Generated $11M in total payroll which:
o Circulates 7 times = $80M economic impact over the past five years
o Add other local money influx to community & $125M economic impact
· While most businesses dipped in 2009, RVI held its ground
· We enter 2012 with our biggest surge in new business in five years
