The Redwood County Sheriff's Office and FAA are investigating a plane crash in Lamberton Township. 63 year old Gary Debaun of Lakeville was piloting a Pitts Special SPS 1 aircraft when the plane experienced a mechanical problem. Debaun was able to land the plane on US highway 14 but lost control soon after. After losing control the plane entered the ditch and struck several trees causing the plane to roll over. The accident happened before Noon Thursday. Debaun was alone in the plane and recieved only minor injuries. The plane is a total loss. The State Patrol, Lamberton Fire Department and Ambulance responded to the scene.
