A fatal accident is being reported by the Minnesota State Patrol.
Tuesday at about 4:30 in the afternoon on Highway 71 and 9 the State Patrol was called to the scene of a broadside accident in Kandiyohi County.
55 year old Ruth Christenson of Kandiyohi was driving southbound on Highway 71 in a Chevy Traverse.
Driving a Jeep Wagon was 64 year old Betty Boehl of Paynesville who was eastbound and failed to stop at a stop sign and was stuck broadside by the Christenson vehicle.
About 4 hours after the accident Betty Boehl passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was not wearing a seatbelt according to the report.
Ruth Christenson was wearing a seatbelt and suffered non-life threatening injuries, she was transported to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
