Veldonna Marcott

Veldonna Darlene Marcott was born October 15th, 1934 in Bagley, MN, daughter of the late Thomas and Edna Peters. After graduation, she became a nurse. On June 11, 1954, she married Donavon Marcott in Red Lake Falls, MN. They moved to Farmington, MN in 1955, where she was a homemaker and a nurse at Sanford Memorial Hospital for 25 years. After Don's retirement in 1988, they moved to their lake home in Webster, WI, where Donna worked as night charge nurse at the Grantsberg Nursing Home. They enjoyed wintering in Texas for 15 years. In 2001, Donna and Don moved to Sleepy Eye to live closer to their daughter and her family. Donna worked at the Sleepy Eye Care Center until her retirement. She enjoyed needlework, sewing, and china painting, which she shared with family and friends. Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Veldonna is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Rodney) Brummund of Sleepy Eye, grand-daughters Katrina (Wade) Grams of Fairfax, MN, Andrea Brummund of Sleepy Eye, MN, grand-son John Brummund of Farmington, MN, and great grand-daughters Ariella and Amelia. She is also survived by sisters Vivian Snobl of Central City, Iowa, Phyllis Marcotte of Sleepy Eye, MN, brothers Ronald (Linda) Peters of Dallas, WI, and Bill Peters of Amery, WI, nieces, nephews and many treasured friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Donavon, and her parents.
